On October 7, Hulu’s Hellraiser reboot movie is released. This is a new adaptation of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic from director David Bruckner, which will have its U.S. debut only on Hulu as part of the streaming service’s yearly “Huluween” festival of spooky programming. The classic Puzzle Box is solved at the start of the trailer, releasing Pinhead (Jamie Clayton) and a brand-new army of Cenobites. Hulu’s official teaser, which teases a new plot for the franchise, also shows the Chatterer’s reappearance.

“A young lady dealing with addiction comes into possession of an old puzzle box, unaware that its function is to summon the Cenobites; a collection of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension,” according to the Hulu description of the latest Hellraiser movie.

Acclaimed horror Director, David Bruckner (The Night House, The Ritual) is relaunching the Hellraiser franchise for Spyglass Media.

Hellraiser on Hulu has received an “R” rating for several really Hellraiser things, such as…

Strong language throughout, some sexual material, and brief graphic nudity. Strong gory horror violence and gore.

The best news is that Clive Barker is on board as a producer for the project, which is being billed as a “loyal, yet developed re-imagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic.”
